Does anyone know a way of getting the bank reconciliation to match the what i assume is carbon copied matches?
I have run the Match Suggestions and it leaves me with matches that have multiple options to match - i understand this bit. It also leaves me with matches that it has a black box when i click on to these they are all exact matches, why doesn't it match them and how can i get the system to do it. What am I missing as I'm having to match about 100 lines one at a time. Below is an example of what I'm experiencing. Thanks
These are suggestions rather than automatic matches. To have iplicit match them for you, create a matching rule that also checks the Bank ref:
Go to the rules tab within the bank reconciliation and create a new matching rule
Adjust the Amount condition and the Bank Date condition to suit
Click Bank vs Cash book and add a condition where Bank Ref equals Bank ref
Save the rule.
When you next run Match Rules, iplicit will match any lines where the amount, date and bank ref all fall within the rule. If two cashbook lines share the same bank ref and amount within the date range, they’ll still be left for you to match manually, so it doesn’t pick the wrong one.
Let us know how you get on, or if you need further assistance.

Hi Ruth,
Thanks for the detailed post and screenshots.
The “black box” you’re seeing means iplicit has found a cashbook transaction that matches on both the amount and the Bank ref. This article explains each of the lightbulb icons: What do the lightbulb icons mean on the Bank Reconciliation Unmatched tab?
