Once a document has been posted, the posting attributes can be amended to:

  • Update existing values

  • Populate previously blank fields

  • Remove assigned values

While the Project attribute is readily accessible through the configurator cog and does not require inclusion in the Chart of Accounts (COA) Rule for standard use, it must be added to the COA Rule prior to initiating a correction.

In the example below, the project attribute is ‘blank’, and I would like to populate ‘Project’ with a value:


Even though I can select project, adding a value will not make any effect: 

This is because the project attribute is not present in the relevant Chart of Account rule and needs to be added.

The easiest way is to go to the Chart of Account Code and drill into the chart of account rule by Ctrl + Clicking on the rule:


It is also recommended to update the rule description to reflect the inclusion of the project attribute: 

We can now proceed to correct the posting attribute on the document.
