This article covers why a Bank Feed stops pulling through transactions in iplicit. Check the sections below in order – for what to do if transactions are pulling through on the Bank Feeds screen but not reaching Bank Reconciliation, see 'Why are transactions appearing on bank feed, but nothing is present within the bank statement or Bank Reconciliation' instead.
If your Bank Feed consent has expired
Banks require you to re-authenticate consent for a Bank Feed periodically. Open Banking sets a minimum of ninety days, though the exact period depends on your bank. You can see when a feed's consent expires, and when the alert email was sent, on the Bank Feeds screen. A reminder email goes to whoever is listed as a responsible user on that feed shortly before consent is due to expire.
To re-connect a Bank Feed once consent has lapsed:
- Go to the Bank Feeds screen
- Highlight the Bank Account you want to re-connect
- Select the black down arrow next to 'Connect feed'
- Select 'Re-connect feed'
- Sign in to your bank when prompted, to complete the re-authentication.
Allow three to six hours, depending on the bank, for the reconnection to complete before transactions resume. Make sure whoever carries out the re-connect has the right permissions with your bank to export transactions – this varies by bank. NatWest, for example, requires separate third-party provider consent.
If 'Re-connect feed' doesn't complete the re-authorisation, or shows an 'Internal Server Error: 500', see 'Why can I not re-connect my bank feeds' for an alternative method.

If the Bank Feed isn't linked to an iplicit Bank Account
A connected Bank Feed only pulls through transactions once it's linked to an iplicit Bank Account. If a feed shows as connected on the Bank Feeds screen but has never produced a bank statement, check it's linked rather than assuming consent has expired.
If the Bank Feed just needs a manual refresh
Bank Feeds update automatically several times a day, but you can force an immediate refresh rather than waiting. See 'How do I refresh bank feeds' for how to do this.
