This article clarifies whether dashboard access in iplicit can be limited based on the device being used, such as showing a dashboard on desktop but hiding it in the mobile app. Dashboard visibility is controlled by user permissions and applies consistently across both mobile and desktop platforms - it is not possible to restrict dashboards by device.

How dashboard access works across mobile and desktop in iplicit

Dashboard visibility in iplicit is determined by user permissions, not by the device being used. There is no setting to show or hide a dashboard based on whether a user is accessing iplicit from the desktop application or the mobile app.

This means:

  • If a user has permission to view a dashboard, they will see it on both desktop and the mobile app
  • If a dashboard should not be visible to a user, it can be restricted through user role or permission settings - but this applies across all devices
  • It is not possible to allow a user to see a dashboard on desktop while hiding it in the mobile app only

Restricting dashboard visibility entirely in iplicit

If a dashboard should not be visible to certain users regardless of device, this is managed through user roles and permissions. Adjusting the user's role or permission settings will remove the dashboard from their view on both desktop and mobile.

For guidance on configuring user access, see our user guide on user roles.
