This article covers linking a new user to SSO in iplicit. You can run this through the SSO Link Wizard, the same tool used for bulk linking, or ask the user to link their own account individually.
Option one: link the user through the SSO Link Wizard
- Go to User accounts
- Do not open an individual user account - stay on the main user account list
- Select the three dots (ellipsis), then 'SSO Link Wizard'
- Follow the Microsoft Entra ID or CSV import steps in 'How to bulk-link users to SSO using the SSO Link Wizard', ticking only the new user rather than the full list
Why the new user may not appear on the wizard
If the new user doesn't show up on the wizard's list, they likely haven't been added to your SSO provider's tenant yet. The wizard matches or lists users based on your SSO provider's own directory, not on anything stored in iplicit.
Ask your organisation's internal IT team to add the user to your SSO tenant. This is managed entirely through your SSO provider, not through iplicit, so iplicit support won't have access to make this change directly. Once added, the user appears on the wizard the next time it's run.
Option two: ask the user to link their own account
If you don't want to wait for IT, the user doesn't need the wizard at all - they can link their own account directly from their iplicit login. Point them to 'How to link your account to SSO in iplicit' for the steps.
