This article covers the executive finance dashboard, powered by iplicit Insights, and how to read the figures it shows. It does not cover Insights AI, which is not yet available.
Accessing the executive finance dashboard in Pulse
The executive finance dashboard sits within iplicit Insights and opens from the Pulse menu. It brings core figures like debtors, creditors and profit together in one place, so you do not need to build a separate report to see them.
- Select 'Pulse' in the top right-hand corner of iplicit
- Select 'Insights' from the panel
- Select 'Executive Finance' to open the dashboard
Your account needs the 'Insights Executive Finance' role before this option appears. If you don't see it in Pulse, ask your system administrator to check your role – see Setting up iplicit Insights for how the role is assigned.
What the executive finance dashboard shows
The executive finance dashboard currently displays: total debtors, total creditors, cash due within one month, month-to-date profit, year-to-date profit, rolling 12-month profit, rolling 12-month revenue, an aged debtors chart, and a top five debtors chart. You can filter and drill into these figures directly, without leaving iplicit. The displayed widgets cannot be changed.

How often the executive finance dashboard refreshes
Data on the executive finance dashboard updates once a day, overnight. Figures reflect the previous day, not the current moment. A transaction posted today won't appear on the dashboard until the following day.

Insights AI, a feature that will let you ask plain-English questions about your data, is not yet available. Only the executive finance dashboard itself is live at this stage.
